Payments – important!
Please note that we require any payments due for an event at the actual time of booking. The system accepts Visa and MasterCard via PayPal’s secure servers. Bookings won’t go through the system without payment. If this system malfunctions whilst booking for an event, or if you need to pay via EFT instead please contact our office on 9952 8498 or email email@example.com
We know from experience the best way to do business is face to face – so people get to know you and trust you, and feel comfortable referring you to others. This can take time – you shouldn’t expect to really reap rewards until you’ve been regularly attending our events for at least six months (and that is true of any networking association or Chamber of Commerce). The key word here is ‘regularly’; get out there, make yourself known and make a memorable impression! We even run networking lessons at some of our events to teach you how. By others getting to know you, and you them, you’ll find referrals growing. Be active and interactive with us – it’s what membership is all about.
Business After Hours
This is our main monthly networking event and we typically get between 70-100 people at each event. Every event is held at a different member’s premises, so members have the opportunity to showcase their products and services. Business After Hours is held on the first Monday of most months (except for December and January; also it’s the second Monday in October owing to the long weekend). Business After Hours is a relaxed format; have a glass of wine, a beer or a soft drink, enjoy some canapés and fantastic company. Don’t feel shy if it’s your first time, either. We are a friendly crowd and will make you feel welcome.
Members and first time visitors may attend Business After Hours free of charge; non-members pay $40 per head per visit. Local Chamber of Commerce members from the Armenian, Eastwood, Gladesville, Ryde Macquarie Park and West Ryde Chambers attend at a cost of $20 per head.
Business @ Breakfast
Networking and a guest speaker – who could ask for a better start to the day? We hold Business @ Breakfast twice a year. Enjoy a continental or hot breakfast and the opportunity to make new contacts or revisit existing ones before the working day starts. Guest speaker topics can be anyone from image consultants and social media teachers to senior politicians – you’ll always have something interesting to listen too but most of all this is another opportunity to network! Business @ Breakfast is formatted to make the most of your networking opportunities.
Business @ Lunch
Our Business @ Lunch events run from 12 noon to 2.00 pm, giving you ample time to meet up with other members and new faces too before a delicious two course lunch and keynote speaker. Our luncheon speakers have included two serving Prime Ministers as well as well known media people and senior politicians. We hold Business @ Lunch twice a year.
Boardroom Breakfasts and Learn @ Lunch
Boardroom Breakfasts are regular workshops for small groups, up to 12 people, in a relaxed atmosphere with a great continental breakfast or light lunch. Presenters for these events are usually our members who are experts in their field and our workshops cover topics such as HR, Marketing, IR, Finance, Social Media, Networking and more. Like all our events they should be viewed as an opportunity to network while you learn and make new contacts. Because these events are very interactive you’ll each learn more about each other’s business – which is great for referrals and growing your contact base.
Events by other organisations
On our calendar you’ll also see events from NSW Business Chamber, the City of Ryde, Government departments, our Members and other local Chambers of Commerce. Please note that we only take bookings ourselves for events that we are running, but will supply booking information for other organisations’ events and ask that you contact those organisations directly to book.
We take no responsibility for events run by other organisations but list them on our calendar in good faith and as a service to the business community in Ryde.
