Optus

Ryde’s biggest employer rolled out the red carpet for Ryde Business Forum members and guests at Business After Hours on 2 March. Attendees were treated to a tour of the Optus campus before the event started; from the many outdoor areas for relaxation to the friendly, modern office facilities Optus employees can view work as pleasure!

With several cafes on site to cater for all tastes Optus employees enjoy superb catering – as did our guests on the night in the Optus Auditorium.

Presenters who covered several facets of Optus – from an overview through sustainable transport (of which Optus is very supportive), to the future of workplace included Andrew Parker and Penny Dillon.

Gail Connolly, the City of Ryde’s new General Manager, was a special guest who spoke about her vision for Ryde’s future.

Ryde’s Deputy Mayor Clr Roy Maggio outlined the Macquarie Park Prospectus.

We welcomed new members on the night:

  • Mary Maggio – Mary Maggio Hair & Beauty
  • John Williams – William Seminars
  • Ken Hew – Avvora Pty Ltd

Optus provided very generous lucky draw prizes, with Lindsay Spencer of Robert Menzies College winning festival tickets and Alastair Scott of BresicWhitney walking away with a brand new mobile phone.

Servcorp donated a bottle of Chandon and three months’ Virtual Office membership, which was won by Melissa Iosifidis of Snowden Parkes.

Our Business of the Month winner is Contract Pharmaceutical Services of Australia.
