Sydney Wine Academy Lecturer – Paul Boothby

Paul was originally a Sydney solicitor who decided that his passion for wine exceeded that for conveyancing. In 1985 he purchased a Sydney liquor store with an emphasis on fine wine and developed a passion for Champagne. Paul has received a number of awards relating to Champagne:

– Vin de Champagne Award (Professional Section)

– Saint Vincent Award (Diplome d’Honneux)

– L’Ordre Des Coteaux de Champagne (Chevalier Award)

In 2000, Paul became the Australian Brand Manager for Champagne Bollinger and is currently Brand Ambassador for Champagne Bruno Paillard.
