The Stage 1 mixed use re-development of Macquarie Centre is now on exhibition on City of Ryde Council’s website until 18 March 2016. The development includes building enveloped for the proposed basement, expanded podium and four towers fronting Herring Road.
The towers will range in height from 90m to 120m above existing ground level and will contain mixed use development including commercial premises, residential accommodation and/or tourist & visitor accommodation. The development will also include the creation of “Station Plaza” between the train station and shopping centre, basement and rooftop car parking building envelopes to accommodate a maximum of 2,175 additional car spaces and new vehicle and pedestrian access points.
Submissions are required to be in writing addressed to the General Manager and sent by post, email or fax or delivered in person to the Civic Centre or the Ryde Planning and Business Centre. Should the submission be by way of objection to the proposal, the submission should specify the grounds of objection.
