20th November 2006 - A perfect day was delivered on time for our 52 players to enjoy 18 holes of golf at beautiful North Ryde Golf Club on 17 November- and enjoy they did, from the first tee to the delicious BBQ afterwards.

This year, the Forum changed the format of its Golf Day slightly, with the aim being to raise $1000 for local charity Technical Aid to the Disabled. Aided by a wonderful team of volunteers headed by Lorraine Cox of Ryde Furniture Freighters, we ran a silent auction, a raffle and a novelty hole, and raised around $1144 for TAD on the day. Thank you to our very generous players and guests who participated and dove deeply into their pockets to support TAD.

Support from players, banner sponsors and prize sponsors this year was terrific; we were able to provide superb prizes for both players and the supporting activities such as the auction and raffle. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us - read on for full details here.

9th October 2006. Vale Cathi King

We have some extremely sad news for everyone who knows or has met our Chairman, Cathi King. Cathi passed away peacefully Sunday 8 October in the Sanatorium hospital. Cathi had chosen not to tell anyone she was unwell, and was working until it was no longer possible for her to do so, therefore this news has come as a shock to all of us.

Cathi was loved and admired by many, and brought sunshine into countless lives with her vivacity, honesty, humour and generosity. She will be truly missed by all who knew her; a lovely person who had time for everyone. Our thoughts are with her family - husband Darrell, son Adam, daughter Amanda and her husband Sam and son Romace.
