What's in store for Ryde over the next few years? City of Ryde managers and Mayor Cr Vic Tagg gave an overview of the new Draft Management Plan to around 100 RBF and Ryde Chamber members at guests at our June Business After Hours. The Draft Management Plan can be downloaded from Council's website; submissions have closed for the plan and it is now up for Council approval.
Our thanks to the management team of Kim Woodbury, Louise Gee, Dominic Johnson and Roy Newsome for their presentations. The team spoke briefly about plans for finalising the Gladesville Master Plan by the end of 2009, catering for the growth in the Macquarie Park area, traffic and transport and more.
Part of the City's strategy is the development of the Ryde 2030 Community Strategic Plan: a vision and action plan for the next 20 years and beyond. Sue Ledingham of the City of Ryde was on hand to answer questions about the Plan.
Paul William-Smith, Economic Development Officer, was available to talk to guests about the City's Economic Development Strategy, whic forms part of the overall management plan.
Johnson & Johnson, our July BAH host, was drawn from our barrel as Business of the Month. Find out more here.
