Review: Business After Hours hosted by Achieve Australia, 3 November 2014

Anne Bryce, Lydia Scuglia and Kaye McIntyreWhat a great event to end the Business After Hours year! Achieve Australia hosted RBF’s final Business After Hours for 2014 at its North Ryde headquarters. Delicious catering – those mini hamburgers and little curries got plenty of compliments – and friendly hospitality from Anne Bryce and her team almost stole the night. But that belonged to a heartwarming short video on Achieve Australia and its work with local people with a disability and moving them to accessible housing, which truly enriches the lives of Achieve’s clients.

Lydia Scuglia mentioned several activities from our Level 1 and 2 members, and fundraising evenings. You’ll find information on all these in our news section here on this site.

Stefan Sojka, as the new President of Ryde Macquarie Park Chamber, spoke for a coupleĀ of minutes on the Chamber’s activities.

Roseanna Gallo encouraged businesses to support he 2014 Rotary Carols on the Common; sponsorship starts from $500 – and it’s tax deductible.

Nathan Pratt from the City of Ryde mentioned the Housing Affordability Summit which will take place on 18 November.

Achieve Australia kindly donated two bottles of wine as lucky draw prizes, and they were won by:

  • James Kim of Arc Group
  • Ani Moseley from The Weekly Times
