Family owned Australian business Servcorp developed the concepts of the virtual office and serviced office in the late 1970s, and have honed it to perfection.
Servcorp has more than 150 locations globally, but it was the luxurious Macquarie Park facility which hosted our March networking event on Monday 6 March. With stunning district views from the top floor location, a sumptuous boardroom and friendly, professional staff, our guests enjoyed a memorable night.
Sabrina Bir, Trainee Manager, hosted the event for Servcorp and told guests a bit more about the services available. And every guest had a pack to take home which included very generous meeting and boardrooms vouchers for hosting meetings of up to 8 people with no strings attached. Who wouldn’t want to use that boardroom? It takes small business owners to the next level.
Four new members had the opportunity to talk about their businesses on the night:
- Daniel Vuong – Holiday Inn Express Sydney Macquarie Park
- Sandra Vincent – Arthritis NSW
- Jason Cowland – Cowland Management
- Nina L’Abbe and Richard Sephton – DIVVY Parking
Zara Whitworth of Connect Macquarie Park talked about congestion expected when trains are taken off the Epping-Chatswood Rail Link late next year so the track can be prepared for the North West Metro. Best options if you work in Macquarie Park: see if you can work from home for some of the week or stagger your working hours to avoid what are bound to be punishing delays.
It was our pleasure too to have as special guests representatives from Ryde Rotary satellite e-club. Peter Ward, District Governor Elect, presented the Ethics in Business Award to Michelle Jarman of Datacom.
Andrew Gotley of ASG Strategies was drawn out of the box as Business of the Month.
