The 2015 North Ryde Fun Run is on Sunday 30 August at the Macquarie University Sport Fields, Macquarie Park. The Rotary Club of North Ryde is organising it to raise funds for youth mental health research and treatment programs, and other worthy youth Rotary projects. The money funds research into why young people get depressed and anxious and what can be done to help them overcome these issues. It provides access to treatment programs which are proven to reduce the impact of anxiety and depression on their well-being and that of their families and help prevent suicide and self-harm.
Last year’s inaugural Fun Run raised $6800 and had 262 entrants and many spectators. This year, Rotary is hoping to raise $10,000 and attract 600 entrants.
The Rotary Club of North Ryde is looking for sponsors who can give cash (anything from $250 to $10,000). There are two opportunities to sponsor major events and have the right to name them – the 5km run and 2 km walk e.g. the (your company name) 5km run.
As well, they are looking for sponsors who can provide in-kind sponsorship (such as prizes for the race winners, giveaways for the entrants’ Goodies Bags and lucky door prizes). Sponsors can also have a stall at the event.
It is a great opportunity to get exposure for a brand or organisation and to give back to the community by helping young people with mental health problems. Download the brochure about the event and all sponsorship opportunities here: 2015_North_Ryde_Fun_Run_Sponsorship_Program
