Sponsorship. We are running two special events
in 2008 for which we are seeking sponsors - our Charity
Golf Day and the Ryde Business
& Technology Expo.
Event
sponsorship
Ryde Business Forum offers event
sponsorship to companies who wish to maximise their
visibility in the City of Ryde and greater Sydney area.
Our
available sponsorship events draw, on average, between
80 to 150 members and guests. Our luncheon in February
2003 with Prime Minister the Hon. John Howard MP was
a sellout with more than 180 attendees from businesses
throughout Ryde and all over Sydney. We had 220 attendees
at our 10th Anniversary luncheon in November 2003 -
a great sponsorship opportunity three of our members
took advantage of.
Our breakfasts can draw up to 80
Ryde business people and cover topical issues such as
the Epping-Chatswood Rail Link and Lane Cove Tunnel.
These events provide the astute marketing manager with
an opportunity to promote his or her company to a specific
sector.
RBF events get coverage in the local and greater Sydney
media. Your banner can be mounted behind our guest speaker
in order that it can receive maximum press coverage.
Your logo can appear on our invitation, which is mailed
out to several hundred companies in the Ryde and greater
Sydney areas.
When
you sponsor one of our events, we will include your
logo on all material associated with the event - invitations,
advertising, electronic mailouts, and an internet page
which covers the event itself including photos of the
event (with your banner clearly visible on the page
as a logo link to your own site).
Prices for sponsorship are negotiable

Special Event Sponsorship - 2008 Charity Golf Day
Ryde Business Forum holds a Corporate Golf Day each
year. Our next Corporate Charity Golf Day will be held
Thursday 13 November 2008 at Ryde Parramatta Golf Club,
with proceeds from a silent auction and other fundraising
events associated with the day going to The Shack Youth
Outreach. The Shack will use the funds for a program
to assist young people get into the local workforce.
We are seeking sponsors for this event in order that
we do not have to increase prices for players:
- Major sponsor - with
naming rights. Ever wanted to hold your own golf
day? Become our
major sponsor and invite your colleagues to the 2008
RBF/(your company name) Charity Golf Day. Benefits
include a LOT of publicity, free team of 4 players
and banner sponsorship, mention in all material associated
with the event etc. Cost $3000 inc GST
- Dinner sponsor. The
Forum plans to hold dinner after the event for players
and other
members who wish to join us. We are seeking a dinner
sponsor to enable us to provide a fantastic BBQ dinner
and wine on the table for players and guests. Cost
$1800 inc GST
- Banner sponsor. This
is a fantastic opportunity to get your banner out
where it gets
noticed by people in the clubhouse and anyone playing
on the course. There will be six banner sponsor slots
available. Banner sponsorship includes a team of
4 players and dinner after the event. Cost $600 inc
GST

Special Event Sponsorship - 2008 Ryde
Business & Technology Expo
RBF partnered with Expo Edge, the City of Ryde and
Venues at Macquarie to hold the first Ryde Business
Expo in 2007.
In 2008 the Ryde Business & Technology
Expo will be held in conjunction with Expo Edge,
the City of
Ryde and Stamford Grand North Ryde at the Stamford
on Wednesday 6 August 2008. We expect up to 41 exhibitors
and 500 visitors to the Expo. It will be marketed across
Ryde by the Forum and across Sydney by Council and
Expo Edge. There will be publicity in both local newspapers
before and after the event.
At this point there is the opportunity for Sponsorship
of existing and new expos in 2008; we would like to
invite you to consider the possibilities. The main
benefits to being a sponsor of this event are set out
below. This notes where sponsorship inclusions varies
by level of support:
- Major Sponsor (MS) - $6500
- Silver Sponsor (SS) - $3500
- Support Partner - Contra arrangement such as a
printer for example but worth at least the price
of a stand ($825)
- Community Room sponsor and a lunch sponsor by
negotiation. We are considering having a 'community
room' at the expo where not for profit organisations
in the City can have a stand for free, eg, police
and other emergency services, charities etc.The cost
of their stands would be covered by the Community
Room sponsor.
- Lunch sponsor to sponsor the sandwich lunch packs
for exhibitors provided by the Stamford. (price negotiable)
- Sponsor for visitor bags - supply 500-600 of your
own logo calico or other non-plastic bag, or sponsor
the supply and print of bags
Pre-event branding and publicity
- Higher profile of the company in each local area
- Inclusion of your sponsorship of the Expo in all
media releases
- Mention of your sponsorship at Chamber and other
business events leading up to the Expo where appropriate
- Your logo as a sponsor on all promotional material,

month the Forum gets a consistent level of visitors
and enquiries from people who have found us via our
website. For example, if you
want to know about business
in Ryde, and type ‘business in Ryde’ or
‘Ryde business’, or even just 'Ryde' into
Google or most other major search engines, our website
will
be
in
the top
ten results. Our site is regularly visited by our members,
Ryde business people wanting to know what's on in
the
City and also the media. We get between
1000-4000 unique visitors per month who actually read
several pages on the site
each visit; we know
this from our web statistics. This is a cheap and
