Traffic changes on M2 Saturday 6 July

Progress on the Hills M2 Upgrade continues with the completion in April of work to the western section of the motorway, including the opening of the newly built third eastbound lane between Windsor Road, Baulkham Hills and Pennant Hills Road, Carlingford and the reinstatement of the speed limit in both directions to 100kmh. Completion of the project is targeted for mid-2013.

To allow a waterproof membrane to cure on the westbound carriageway of Terrys Creek Bridge, a contra flow arrangement will be in place on the motorway during the day between 7am and 8pmSaturday 6 July 2013. The traffic changes take place from east of the Norfolk Tunnel, North Epping to Vimiera Road, Marsfield.

Traffic arrangements

During this work, traffic will be diverted to the opposite carriageway under a contra flow arrangement during the day between east of the Norfolk Tunnel, North Epping and Vimiera Road, Marsfield. Two lanes will remain open in each direction. Speed limits in the work area will be reduced to 40 km/h and motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the signs.

If the work is delayed due to bad weather, the contra flow arrangements on the motorway will be rescheduled to one of the following dates: Sunday 7 July, Saturday 13 July, Sunday 14 July or Saturday 20 July from 7am to 8pm.
