RBF is seeking the last two paddlers for its Dragon Boat, which will take part in Ryde Rivers Festival. This is a fun day out, and last year’s team had an absolute ball!
If you’d like to be part of the team, here’s what you need to know:
DATE: Sunday , 8TH September 2013
EXPERIENCE: None needed, however much appreciated if there is a rower amongst us! You should be able to swim 200m fully clothed. Life jackets are provided if needed. NSW Surf Life Saving will be providing Water Rescue and First Aid
DISTANCE: 200M Dragon Boat Assoc will provide us with an experienced drummer and sweeper. Last year we participated in 2 x races , this year we can do 3 if we wish to!
TIME: Officially 8.30-2pm last year we convened at 9.00am and our races were over by 12.00pm
PLACE: Parramatta River, Kissing Point/Bennelong Parks, Putney
COST: $45 per paddler This covers insurance and cost of registration and a RBF cap.
WHAT TO WEAR: Shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting wet (Ladies, wearing white is not recommended). The cost includes an RBF cap which we will provide on the day.
WHAT TO BRING: Picnic Rug to sit on or a shade shelter, there is plenty of food and beverage options at the festival to purchase
**** Please remember alcohol and water don’t mix. Any individual caught consuming alcohol during the event will have the entire team disqualified. *****
