The new look Eastwood Hotel received a traditional blessing on Friday 19th July to mark the completion of renovations that took place to the interior design and layout of the venue.
The official blessing ceremony, hosted by Publican Kirk Greenland, featured a Chinese Lion Dance and Korean traditional Drum and Woman’s Nature Dance. The event took place in the new, exquisitely landscaped beer garden.
A welcome address provided by Kirk was translated in both Chinese and Korean with special guests the Honourable John Alexander MP, Member for Bennelong and Hugh Lee OAM, President of Australian Asian Association of Bennelong, also addressing the audience.
Guests enjoyed a night of complimentary canapés and beverages as they mingled and enjoyed the relaxed and comfortable environment which is now synonymous with the new look Eastwood Hotel.
Local performer Regina Ma entertained the audience with songs in English, Korean and Chinese; a tribute to the local cultural community and much to the enjoyment of all that looked on.
“We were thrilled to host the greater Eastwood community here at the Hotel for the traditional Blessing Ceremony,” said Kirk Greenland.
“As an integral part of the local Eastwood Community, I was excited to showcase the hotel’s improved facility cementing the hotel as a hub of the community, where patrons can relax, dine and enjoy a drink with family and friends,” said Kirk.
