More than 220 people visited today’s Ryde Jobs and Training Expo at Ryde Civic Centre, organised by the City of Ryde. Nathan Pratt, Economic Development Officer, invited a number of jobs and training organisations to exhibit at the event, and ran a program of workshops aimed at enhancing the skills of job seekers. These included how to write a resume and interview skills.
A panel consisting of Nathan Pratt, Karl King (Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE), June Heinrich (MCC Macquarie Community College) and Lyn Mann (The Salvation Army Employment Plus) offered advice to jobseekers and spoke about training and job opportunities.
RBF members Achieve Australia, Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE, The Salvation Army Employment Plus and MCC Macquarie Community College were among the exhibitors.
RBF was represented by Sabrina Ferguson and Marcella Letteri, who assisted at the registration desk and answered enquiries about RBF’s services.[nggallery ID=24]
